Dollar Here and a Dollar There
We all have a dollar store in our neighborhood. They are everywhere, even in malls. So why is it that we only stop in to visit them every blue moon. These dollar stores are not just trinket shops. There are incredible savings that can be highly valuable when you go in search of the right items.
There can be some cheaper-made and less lovable items at these stores but they can be over looked to find the real deals. Most of the time there are several isles covered with seasonal items and this can equal savings. From gift bags, wrapping paper, ornaments, faux flowers, and name brand candies can all be found for only one dollar each. Try going to a retail store and buying all of your birthday or Christmas wrapping supplies for less than five dollars!
Items such as cleaners, bug sprays, food-grade containers, plastic cups or plates, dishes, kitchenware items and much more can be found for only a dollar. The best part is outfitting an entire house-warming gift basket with lovely matching dinnerware and cutlery for less than fifteen dollars (including the basket and shrink wrap)!
Vitamins, toiletries, accessories, undergarments, and seasonal items for the family such as bug spray or sunscreen (of good quality) can all be found. My family saves hundreds of dollars alone on bug sprays and sunscreen. Think about it; retail shops sell inexpensive bug spray for 4.99$ and sunscreen is more at around 6.99$. Multiply that for four months worth of product and four to six bottles of each per month. That can add up to $287.52 for four months! I’ll take a dollar a bottle.
